I thought I would end this week with a nice plate of tomatoes.
Originally uploaded by Teckelcar. As I mentioned before, I like to slice them up, drizzle some balsamic vinegar, add freshly chopped basil, a dash of salt, and a bit of ground black pepper. I then let the whole thing sit for at least an hour.
Mmmm, now that is summer.
I have a mixture of traditional red tomatoes and yellow tomatoes. I love the visual effect of the two varieties together. The differences in taste are also heightened when you get to try them side by side.
I’m looking forward to dinner.
Oh and have good thoughts for Meryl. She is stuck in the hospital today and is itching to get out.
